June was a smashing success on the charitable front. The Prideraiser benefiting the Louisville Youth Group netted $3,120 on 15 goals scored by Louisville City and Racing Louisville. Coupled with the club ran Racing Louisville kits and shirts auction ($7,333) and the bourbon bottle and Niall McCabe Pride kit auction ran by the Coopers ($361.26), a grand total of $10,814.26 was raised last month. Year to date, $14,681.11 has been raised for various causes. Incredible work, purple family!

Although we are slightly behind schedule due to life happening (I promise to be more prompt next month), I’m confident our July charity focus will still be a success. With school right around the corner, we (the Coopers and the LouCity Ladies) wanted to turn our attention to the young students in the area who may be lacking the necessities needed for their education. Chef Space, an organization normally focused on fighting food insecurity, has kicked off a Kitchen to Classrooms program (featured in this WDRB piece). They are collecting financial donations as well as actual supplies. We are going to focus on helping to collect these supplies. To make it easy to participate, an Amazon wish list has been made available. All you need to do is add items to your cart, select the delivery address to be “Kelly Dettlinger’s Gift Registry Address“, complete the purchase, and it will get sent straight to our POC, who will take everything to Chef Space. Much like the toy drive late last year, the team store at Lynn Family Stadium will serve as a drop point who would rather donate in person. This would only be for non-game days. We are working on a collection spot before the match(s) and I will update this post accordingly on those details. The Kitchen to Classroom program is running through the end of July, so do not hesitate to help the less fortunate youngins!
