Louisville City just announced the club’s newest signing, 20 year old striker Arda Bulut. Bulut previously played at collegiate powerhouse Stanford, but decided to forego the remainder of his collegiate career to sign for Morados.

It’s hard to imagine giving up a great education, but it’s 2020, and Stanford isn’t playing soccer until the spring at the earliest, so the decision definitely makes sense for someone that wants to pursue soccer as a career. Which is what Bulut wants to do!

Arda is a California native who was majoring in computer science (AT STANFORD) before joining LouCity. He’s got an American and a Turkish passport, and is fluent in English, Spanish and Turkish, which is pretty cool. Bulut doesn’t have a stat package from his collegiate career that would necessarily blow you away, but has the potential with his touch and decision making skills to have an impact for City in the future.

In any event, we’re excited to have him. Welcome to Louisville, Arda Bulut!
